Good writing has the power to move people and change hearts. At Writing Camp, you’ll learn how to tell your own story, edit your work, and take inspiration from God’s creation. And you’ll even get to see all the amazing opportunities that could await you when you tour the Abeka publishing department.
Dedicated and experienced instructors will lead you on a creative journey full of helpful writing instruction and exercises. You’ll leave camp inspired—with new original works you can be proud of.
Registration is open to campers from 14 to 18 years old who have just completed or are entering into grades 9–12.

Shelby Poulin graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and has writing experience in nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and screenwriting genres. Her pieces have been published in multiple literary and academic journals.
Over the last seven years, Mrs. Poulin has served on the English and professional writing faculty at Pensacola Christian College. She teaches and mentors a wide range of students—from freshmen in English Composition to seniors with their professional writing portfolios.
Mrs. Poulin is dedicated to helping young, aspiring writers develop their craft, and she loves inspiring young writers to create artistically masterful, God-honoring works.
Camp is led by Pensacola Christian College English and professional writing faculty, who will mentor and guide you as you discover your unique writer’s voice.
